About The Position

Merit Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position plays a critical role in our continued growth by accurately estimating projects, securing profitable work, and successfully managing projects from award through completion. We are looking for a motivated professional who has strong electrical construction knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience using Accubid estimating software.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of electrical estimating and/or project management experience.
Proficiency with Accubid Estimating Software.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and National Electrical Code requirements.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Accubid experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Journeyman or Master Electrician background.
Experience with commercial and industrial electrical construction.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
Perform quantity takeoffs and material pricing.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
Develop project budgets and schedules.
Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout.
Coordinate with customers, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
Track project costs, change orders, and job profitability.
Attend project meetings and site visits as required.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners.
