Electrical Engineering Specialist

Lynntech•College Station, TX

About The Position

Lynntech is seeking an electronics engineer to develop electrical and embedded systems for prototype products in the defense, aerospace, and medical markets. The role spans the product-development lifecycle, from early-stage proof-of-concept through prototype development and testing to qualification of production-ready designs. The engineer will contribute to electrical solutions through embedded firmware and software development, custom circuit-board design, and integration of custom and commercial components, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams. The role also offers opportunities to take on increasing technical responsibility, collaborate with customers and teammates, develop leadership skills, and participate in proposal development. Engineering at Lynntech combines theoretical and experimental work. Engineers divide their time between detailed prototype design and laboratory validation, working with technologies at different product-life-cycle stages, from breadboard proof-of-concepts to minimum viable products. The work includes electrical system architecture and integration, circuit and PCB design, embedded firmware, test-fixture development, and maturing prototypes into reproducible, supportable product designs. The engineer also supports technology advancement and transition through research, requirements development, testing, verification and validation, technical writing, qualification, demonstrations, and manufacturing-readiness activities. Long-term career paths may include advancement as a technical expert, development of expertise in technology areas, or growth into project, personnel, or other leadership roles. Career growth can reflect the engineer’s interests, proficiency, and ability to contribute to the engineering team and organization.
