Position Summary The Electrical Engineering Intern will support hands-on R&D activities including schematic design, PCB layout, prototype development, testing, and electrical troubleshooting. This role offers direct exposure to product development in a regulated medical device environment. Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • College Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits (completion of Circuits I & II preferred)
  • Soldering experience
  • Experience using a DMM and/or oscilloscope
  • Strong desire to learn and gain hands-on experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Altium Designer or other PCB design software
  • Surface mount soldering experience
  • Cable building experience
  • Basic coding knowledge (Python, C)

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Design & Development Assist with electrical schematic design
  • Support PCB layout and board revisions
  • Contribute to cable design and documentation
  • Assist with prototype assembly and development
  • Testing & Validation Develop and execute electrical test procedures
  • Collect and document test data
  • Use DMMs and oscilloscopes for debugging and validation
  • Support electrical rework and troubleshooting activities
  • Prototyping & Lab Support Perform soldering, including through-hole and surface mount components
  • Assist with board bring-up and functional testing
  • Support lab organization and equipment setup
  • Cross-Functional & Clinical Exposure Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineers
  • Opportunity to observe or participate in hands-on clinical lab activities if interested
