About The Position

Pentair is seeking an Engineering Manager, Electrical, for its Apex, North Carolina team. The role leads the electrical engineering discipline for Pentair Pool’s connected-product portfolio and partners closely with the IoT Engineering organization to deliver reliable, high-performing connected pool products with a strong user experience. The manager leads and develops a team of 4–6 Electrical Engineers, serving as a hands-on player-coach who provides technical direction and participates in architecture and design reviews. The role owns electrical design for mixed-signal PCBAs, microcontroller-based control boards, power electronics, motor drives, sensor interfaces, safety-critical circuits, and integrated wireless technologies. It establishes design standards and guides trade-offs involving cost, performance, reliability, EMC, safety, and manufacturability. The position collaborates across IoT Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Architecture, Industrial Design, Product Management, Sustaining, VAVE, Manufacturing, SQA, Reliability, and Regulatory Compliance. It manages electrical resources and deliverables across concurrent new-product-development programs, drives execution through Pentair’s stage-gate NPD process, and oversees design reviews, DVT planning, regulatory test readiness, and transfer to manufacturing. The manager also promotes electrical safety, compliance, reliability, failure analysis, and continuous improvement. Some domestic and international travel may be required, typically less than 15%. The position is full-time and based in Apex, NC. The anticipated annual base pay range is $110,700–$205,600, with possible eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.
