About The Position

The Analytical Engineering Lab applies scientific and engineering methods to investigate product escalations, perform physical and root-cause analysis, and address unique or complex technical issues. The team drives product reliability through proactive risk mitigation across the product lifecycle from concept and development through production and end of life. As a member of the Analytical Engineering Lab, you will support the analysis, testing, validation, and reliability assessment of electrical and electronic components, subsystems, and hardware systems. You will work with experienced engineers and internal and external development partners to identify risks, evaluate product performance, and develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, preferably with at least three years completed; or Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
  • Basic experience with or understanding of electrical design tools, simulation tools, and engineering software.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of electrical and electronic component design, integrated circuits, and hardware systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing, measurement equipment, and engineering test methods.
  • Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and methods for managing electromagnetic emissions.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, requirements, schematics, and test data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and the applicable local language, where required.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical project team.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework or project experience in electrical design, electronics, signal integrity, power systems, thermal analysis, electromagnetic compatibility, or reliability engineering.
  • Experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum analyzers, or network analyzers.
  • Familiarity with root-cause analysis, design verification, validation testing, or reliability testing.
  • Experience analyzing test data using tools such as MATLAB, Python, Excel, or similar software.
  • Exposure to product development, manufacturing, or hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze electrical and electronic components, subsystems, integrated circuits, and related algorithms using established engineering principles, specifications, and requirements.
  • Execute established test plans for existing and new designs.
  • Support validation of: Electrical tolerances, form, fit, and function, shock and vibration performance, electromagnetic interference and emissions, product safety, reliability and durability, thermal performance, system power consumption and electrical characteristics.
  • Assist with physical and root-cause analysis of electrical hardware issues, product escalations, and unique technical problems.
  • Evaluate the reliability of materials, components, designs, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Develop an understanding of electrical hardware design and development processes.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and outsourced development partners.
  • Contribute as a member of cross-functional project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for low- to moderately complex products.
  • Document analysis, test results, findings, and recommendations in clear technical reports and presentations.
  • Provide technical support for design validation, reliability assessments, and proactive risk mitigation activities.
