About The Position

RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, is seeking Electrical Engineering interns/co-ops to join our team for the summer and regular semester co-op. Note that we are no longer accepting applications for summer-only employment; however, we remain open to internships/co-ops that begin in the summer and continue through the fall. Please indicate your desired term of employment in your resume or cover letter. Intern and entry-level applicants to RCT Systems Power Systems Division (PSD), without specific experience or education in power conversion and/or power systems, are encouraged to provide cover letters to their resume/CV that address the gap between their background and the core work that we perform here at RCT PSD (solid-state power conversion). RCT Systems PSD produces high power density, wide bandgap semiconductor-based power converters for military and commercial applications. RCT offers competitive pay, a fast-paced R&D work environment, with a design, build, and high-voltage test site in Baltimore, MD. The internship/co-op is in-person only (no remote work), and located at our offices in Baltimore, MD.

Requirements

  • United States Citizenship is required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions.
  • Must indicate citizenship status on individual documents submitted with the application (resume/CV or cover letter itself)– applications not identifying citizenship status on the submitted documents will not be considered.
  • Note that even if you have an active security clearance, you must identify citizenship on your submitted application documents.
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • 3rd year undergraduate minimum, MS and PhD students a plus
