About The Position

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Requirements

• Majoring in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Completed junior-level courses preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and effectively communicate in a team setting while achieving a common goal.
• Ability to stay organized and able to use Microsoft Office programs without much direction.

Responsibilities

• Create a specification for the product.
• Schematic capture and circuit design.
• PCB layout with the help of one of Toro’s PCB designers.
• Test the finished product in the lab using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
• The work will be guided by other electrical engineers to provide mentoring and keep the project on task.
• Other summer activities will include some job shadowing and supporting a current team project, possibly a vendor visit or trip to Toro manufacturing plant(s), and depending upon the candidate, some scripting in Python or similar language.
