The Electrical Engineering Intern will: Support the Systems Test Branch (EC4) at the Johnson Space Center as an Electrical Engineering Intern upgrading the calibration lab test equipment and upgrading control systems Review existing processes used by Crew and Thermal Systems Division Systems Test Branch and identify opportunities for automation Create/Update software to improve efficiency and workflow

Requirements

  • Working towards a BS in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Computer programming experience particularly Python
  • Experience with circuit design, embedded systems and digital design
  • Hardware systems development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency may be a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microprocessor based systems - ESP32 or Raspberry PI
  • Experience with FPGA design
  • Export/import of data with SQL and Excel via APIs
