About The Position

RTX is seeking candidates for an internship opportunity in the aerospace and defense industry. This role will involve collaborating with manufacturing facilities, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve production, testing, and integration issues. The position is within the Processing Production Design Support section, supporting the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program. The internship offers a foundation to work on complex problems, advance skills, and contribute to a safer, more connected world. The internship is for Summer 2027.

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
Experience with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts
Experience with fault isolation / troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages

Responsibilities

Ensure Special Test Equipment is always operable while improving test yield
Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures
Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support production (up to 25%)
