About The Position
Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering students for its Boca/Delray, Florida office. This is not a remote position. The intern will use technical software to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables; assist project managers with complex problems; and collaborate across disciplines on projects related to the built environment. The position supports the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team, particularly on large-scale HVAC design. Projects may include airports, facilities, universities, and other project types.
Requirements
- Be in the process of receiving an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree (bachelor’s or master’s).
Responsibilities
- Use technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and quality-check client deliverables.
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to support clients’ visions for the built environment.
- Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
- Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting project managers as required.
- Support the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team, specifically on large-scale HVAC design.
