About The Position

Ameren is seeking Electrical Engineering students for a Fall Co-Op program. This program offers real work experience, networking opportunities, and professional growth within the energy industry. Participants will directly impact Ameren's mission to Power the Quality of Life. The co-op is scheduled from May to December. Ameren is a Fortune 500 company that trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AEE. It is the parent company of Ameren Illinois, based in Collinsville, Ill., and Ameren Missouri in St. Louis. Ameren Transmission Company, also based in St. Louis, designs and builds regional transmission projects. Employing more than 9,000 personnel, Ameren powers the quality of life for 2.4 million electric customers and more than 900,000 natural gas customers across a 64,000-square-mile area. Ameren Missouri ranks as the largest electric power provider in Missouri, and Ameren Illinois ranks as Illinois' third largest natural gas distribution operation in total number of customers. This general posting will be used to collect applications for our 2027 Electrical Engineer Fall Co-Op openings across the states of Illinois and Missouri.

Requirements

  • Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
