About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join their Warrenville, Illinois (IL) office. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. The analyst will solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines. Responsibilities include developing familiarity with relevant regulations and company standards, assisting with technical specifications, report writing, and electrical equipment cost research. The role offers exposure to various projects including building MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls. Analysts may also gain experience in solar/energy projects with a focus on battery storage and PV, as well as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Assist with technical specification and report writing electrical equipment cost research
