About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Tampa, Florida (FL) office. This role involves utilizing technical software for analysis and quality control of client deliverables, solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines. Analysts will develop familiarity with relevant regulations and company standards. The Electrical teams engage in diverse projects including building MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls. Responsibilities also include assisting with technical specifications, report writing, and electrical equipment cost research. Opportunities may include exposure to solar/energy projects with a focus on battery storage and PV, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Assist with technical specification and report writing
  • Electrical equipment cost research
