Electrical Engineering Analyst
About The Position
Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Delray Beach, Florida (FL) office. This is an on-site position. The role involves utilizing technical software for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. Analysts will solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment. This position requires developing familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices and standards. Our Electrical teams engage in diverse projects including building MEP, photometrics and lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls. Responsibilities also include assisting with technical specification and report writing, and conducting research on electrical equipment costs.
Requirements
- ABET accredited Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026
Nice To Haves
- Gain exposure to solar/energy projects with a focus in battery storage and PV
- Gain exposure to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design – traffic operations centers, sensors, message signs, closed circuit TV cameras (CCTV), fiber optic networks
Responsibilities
- Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
- Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
- Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
- Assist with technical specification and report writing
- Electrical equipment cost research
