About The Position

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join their MEPS team in Peoria, IL. The role involves electrical engineering design, building information modeling (BIM) using Revit MEP software, CAD drafting using AutoCAD software, drawing production, specification writing, discipline coordination, shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems. Responsibilities may also include reviewing MEP systems designed by others, interfacing with code officials and contractors, working with architects and clients, and collaborating with colleagues within Dewberry. The engineer will work in a multi-discipline, team environment, focusing on the design and production of construction documents for building systems. Specific tasks include assisting with the design and specification of power distribution systems, emergency generation systems, lighting, fire alarm, and other technology systems. Requirements

  • BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an ABET accredited university
  • 0-2 years technical experience in the design of power distribution, lighting, life safety, and telecommunications systems
  • Experience designing electrical systems and producing design documents for buildings in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized, takes good notes
