About The Position

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. You’ll perform detailed technical analysis of electric power infrastructure, including electric power grid networks and supporting Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA) and industrial control systems (ICS). You’ll conduct independent technical investigations and use sound engineering judgment to fill in gaps in data. You’ll apply advanced engineering concepts to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, often without considerable direction, and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to transform the military Command and Control (C2) community. Our team develops C2 solutions for today’s military. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with engineering applications
  • Experience with electric power operations and systems in a substation, power plant, and auxiliary electric power support systems
  • Knowledge of new and emerging OT or IT technologies, including distributed energy resources, cloud infrastructure, and enhanced cybersecurity models
  • Knowledge of transmission, distribution, or generation design or operations, ICS or SCADA design, commissioning or operations, system protection systems, or electric power modeling
  • Ability to create and interpret technical schematics and network diagrams
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information in simple terms
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Controls and Automation Engineering

  • Experience with the defense community
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
