Requirements

  • Two year degree or higher in electrical or related field.
  • Two years min. electrical and or controls design experience.
  • Knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Design Principles.
  • Communication – Ability to ensure information is passed on to others who should be kept informed. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversation and interaction with others. Ability to express oneself clearly in business writing.
  • Analytical Thinking – The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic and sequential approach.
  • Technical Expertise – The ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in a technical area.
  • Thoroughness – Ensuring work and information is complete and accurate; carefully preparing for meetings and presentations, following up with orders to ensure the agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Stress Management – The ability to keep functioning effectively when under pressure and maintain self control in the face of hostility or provocation.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and verifies electrical and control systems for various Fulton products and systems, in a manner that is consistent with the Fulton values and operating philosophy.
  • Manages aspects of Customer Orders and Company projects/initiatives.
  • Creates, maintains, reviews, approves and designates drawings for customer orders.
  • Identifies and specifies any special order electrical components that need to be purchased to fulfill the requirements of the order.
  • Works with Project Manager to ensure pricing, availability and specifications align with project needs.
  • Ensures the electrical aspects of all new products, existing products, and modified/custom designs meet the applicable codes and standards.
  • Provides technical support for Manufacturing (in-process and final electrical inspections, coordinate electrical testing, implementation of new drawings/components/methods, communicates quality feedback), Customers (communicate with relevant internal and external people as needed to resolve technical issues regarding controls and electrical design), and other groups (Product Engineering, Field Service, Sales, Quality, Purchasing, Planning).
  • Ensures appropriate documentation is obtained and maintained for all projects, inclusive of appropriate filing for Customer orders, and for other Engineering (ECR’s, CAR’s, RMA’s, WR’s) or Service (call logs) related tasks.
