This position is a 3-year term role for an Electrical Engineer at Fermilab, based in Lead, South Dakota, at the Sanford Underground Research Facility. The role involves providing direct oversight of electrical and IT construction contracts, serving as the primary coordinator for electrical infrastructure construction, and developing a deep understanding of electrical and IT requirements, designs, and specifications for the LBNF/DUNE facilities. The engineer will coordinate contractor activities, review schedules, invoices, and pay applications, develop cost estimates for field changes, and collaborate with various stakeholders including Architect/Engineering firms, LBNF/DUNE detector teams, SURF personnel, and other facilities design contractors. The position also supports cost, schedule, and scope management, utilizes a web-based project management system for documentation, reviews submittals and quality records, supports field inspections, and maintains organized project documentation. Collaboration with Fermilab IT subject matter experts is also a key aspect of the role. All duties must be performed in accordance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
