About The Position

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The Electrical Engineer also assists in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Min 2 semesters of electronic circuit analysis with lab work or electrical system design
  • Min 1 semester of signal and systems
  • Physics, covering electromagnetics
  • Min 2 semesters of engineering mathematics and/or calculus
  • Min 1 semester in power electronics, motor control and/or motor drive electronics design and/or robotics engineering
  • Analog electronic circuit design, manufacturing and validation
  • Power electronics, motor control and/or motor drive electronics design, manufacturing and validation
  • Knowledge on trouble shooting electrical components

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in three-phase motor simulation, design, and/or manufacturing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands on troubleshooting of PWAs and electromechanical systems, identify root cause, propose, and validate solution.
  • Review circuit schematics, design files, conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and other artifacts.
  • Maintain design and manufacturing files to timely address obsolescence, defects, deviation, and issues.
  • Design test procedures and coordinate with others to perform tests. Conduct tests, document test results, and develop client presentation. May present solutions to clients.
  • May assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers.
  • Provide training and support to clients and field representatives. Prepare and deliver technical documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Implements and complies with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
  • Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
  • Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving).
