Electrical Engineer (Ph.D.)
About The Position
Exponent is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Electrical Engineering Practice in Menlo Park, CA. This role involves utilizing electrical engineering and consulting expertise to provide valuable contributions to clients. The position requires performing electrical engineering analyses and consulting in the fields of electronics, power electronics, and electrical failure analysis. It also involves preparing technical proposals, pursuing business development opportunities, critically assessing test results, methods of analysis, and testing protocols, maintaining a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and writing reports. The role requires working on multiple concurrent projects as an individual contributor and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred; a Ph.D. in a closely related field will be considered
- Technical background in electronics, power electronics, power systems or circuit design preferred
- Strong electrical lab skills, including working familiarity with electrical test equipment, test setup and design, and data analysis
- Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical staff in engineering, business, and industry
- Ability to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering Practice and its consulting services
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing required
