About The Position

Kaukauna Utilities is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering team. The role involves working alongside experienced engineers and field crews to design, improve, and maintain the electric distribution system. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
0–3 years of engineering experience (internships and co-ops are encouraged to apply)
Interest in electric power systems, utility engineering, or electrical infrastructure
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both in an office environment and outdoors in the field
Desire to learn, collaborate, and grow professionally

Responsibilities

Assist with the planning, design, and construction of electric distribution projects
Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using CAD and GIS software
Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections
Coordinate projects with contractors, municipalities, customers, and internal operations teams
Support engineering analysis, project estimates, budgeting, and documentation
Learn utility engineering standards, electrical distribution design, and industry best practices
Contribute to projects that improve the reliability and safety of our electric system
