About The Position

SAIC is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN. This role involves providing Electrical Engineering support for test and evaluation activities for primary missile batteries. The engineer will be responsible for creating test procedures, planning and executing tests, collecting and evaluating data, and reporting results and conclusions to support various battery designs, including new prototypes and developmental energy systems. The tests will encompass aging and surveillance, lot acceptance, qualification, and special engineering tests, all in accordance with DoD requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Zero years of related experience.
• Interim Secret Clearance will be required to start.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship

• Experience with battery development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Create test procedures for testing all types of missile battery systems.
• Plan and execute the test procedures.
• Collect and evaluate the data.
• Provide the results and conclusions to support various battery designs for all applications, including new prototypes and developmental energy systems.
• Conduct aging and surveillance, lot acceptance, qualification, and special engineering tests.
• Ensure plans and procedures are in accordance with DoD requirements.
