About The Position

Twin Rivers Paper Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to directly drive productivity by maximizing equipment reliability and optimizing automation systems, reduce equipment downtime, and ensure safety compliance. The role involves monitoring and assessing machinery for early indicators of electrical failure, ensuring electrical safety and regulatory compliance, leading and managing maintenance and capital projects, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. This position will provide critical technical leadership, mentorship, and development support for electricians, strengthening the overall reliability and capability of the maintenance organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex electrical and process issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), MS Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong PLC programming and industrial drives experience.
  • Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Back-up for Process Control.
  • Develop or review electrical cost estimates and designs for Engineering projects ensuring applicable codes and requirements are met.
  • Manage assigned capital and operational improvement projects to ensure they meet objectives.
  • Support operational and maintenance needs through consultation and troubleshooting priorities.
  • Manage electrical utility cost and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain project/electrical system documentation.
  • Develop electrical equipment layout, annual and periodic maintenance schedules for process and production equipment.
  • Support and develop electrical power distribution layout and required switch gear equipment for the facility.
  • Manage the LOTO program for new processes and equipment, and maintain the current LOTO program and procedures.
  • Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications.
  • Confirm system components and capabilities by designing testing methods and testing properties.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with and conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement processes that will improve productivity and reduce costs in the overall manufacturing process.
  • Work with property insurance carrier(s) to ensure processes and suggestions are implemented and on-going.
  • Perform other duties as directed or assigned by management.
