About The Position

This role focuses on supporting sustaining engineering activities for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) used in tape automation systems. The engineer will investigate and resolve manufacturing, field, and supplier-related electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage component obsolescence. Responsibilities include supporting engineering change orders, collaborating with contract manufacturers and suppliers, analyzing electrical failures, and assisting with qualification and validation processes. The role also involves reviewing technical documentation, supporting failure analysis and reliability efforts, and participating in design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments. Development and maintenance of test procedures and engineering documentation are key, along with collaboration across various teams to ensure product performance and manufacturability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and electronic component documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with manufacturing and lab environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship, co-op, senior project, or lab experience involving electronics or PCBAs.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or other electrical lab equipment.
  • Familiarity with Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar ECAD tools.
  • Exposure to electronics manufacturing, reliability testing, failure analysis, or manufacturing test.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and engineering change processes.
