About The Position

The Electrical Engineer/Designer will work in a multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects for a variety of markets. In this role, you won’t just design electrical systems for commercial buildings - you’ll play a key role in bringing ambitious ideas to life as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team. We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer/Designer to be part of our firm and grow with us.

Requirements

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
  • Design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
  • Hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines.
  • A confident and positive attitude with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic, along with the ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Understanding and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment
  • Edit electrical system specifications
  • Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components
  • Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents
  • Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress
  • Interact with project team members and leaders
  • Support the Data Center and Mission Critical Group
