About The Position

Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications. You will report to the Manager, Common Q and CE Safety Systems •Safety & Reactor Systems Engineering and be Hybrid at the Warrendale, PA facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required, along with a minimum of 0-3 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
  • Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry.
  • Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
  • Experience in AutoCAD/3D Modeling software
  • As part of a team including engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply chain management, and suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Issue drawings, bill of materials and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products.
  • Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of Safety System hardware products.
  • Develop engineered solutions and part change evaluations to address obsolescence issues for several electrical products
  • Communicate with suppliers or manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.
  • Help develop equipment qualification test procedures during testing, evaluate test results and review final reports
  • Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations for a variety of products
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design or analysis of products.
  • Build assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
