About The Position

Exp Federal is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide regional technical support for a potential project in Vienna, Austria. This position is contingent upon award of contract. The role involves developing inspection criteria, reviewing electrical designs, and resolving electrical design-related problems during construction and inspection. The engineer will provide expertise on the electrical aspects of facilities, mission systems, support systems, and power generation/distribution/grounding systems. While there is not a primary design element, the engineer will serve as a subject matter expert to review and inspect electrical installations for code compliance. There may be a need to prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for repair, installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems, as well as prepare and/or review design calculations.

Requirements

A BSEE degree from an accredited college/university.
Experience with installation and maintenance of low voltage (<1,000 VAC RMS) 50/60 Hz single and multiple phase wiring, including grounding.
At least two years of experience demonstrating the ability to apply the standards of UFC 1-200-01, UFC 1-201-02 and UFC Series 3-500.
Active Security Clearance from the US Federal Government.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Developing inspection criteria for electrical systems.
Performing technical reviews of electrical designs developed by architectural-engineering firms or government organizations.
Resolving electrical design-related problems arising during construction and inspection.
Providing expertise on the electrical engineering aspects of the installation, modification, operation, and maintenance of facilities, mission systems, support systems, and power generation/distribution/grounding systems.
Reviewing and inspecting electrical installations to ensure code compliance for new construction.
Preparing drawings, specifications, and procedures for the repair, installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems (as needed).
Preparing and/or reviewing and evaluating design calculations.
