About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 5+ years in electrical system design for industrial or nuclear power plant projects.
  • Proficient in selecting equipment and materials.
  • Experienced in preparing engineering design packages, calculations, and specifications.
  • Skilled in designing low and medium voltage distribution systems (e.g., transformers, generators, motors, relays).
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • PE license or ability to obtain.
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and review detailed AC/DC calculations using ETAP, including short circuit, voltage drop, arc-flash, motor starting, and relay coordination.
  • Develop and review equipment specifications.
  • Participate in bid evaluations and manage vendor Q&A tracking.
  • Prepare scoping documents and perform constructability reviews.
  • Design and review lighting, communications, and security systems.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Engage with clients and implementation personnel.
  • Visit client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and construction coordination.
