About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4 or more years of experience in consulting engineering and project management for its Honolulu location. The role involves designing electrical and lighting plans and specifications for various building types, collaborating with the electrical department and other engineering disciplines, and contributing to marketing and business initiatives. The successful candidate will work both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum four years of consulting electrical engineering experience
• Project Management experience is required
• Must be able to obtain U.S. Security clearance
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Local architectural/engineering community experience is desired
• Department of Defense design experience is desired
• Registration as PE (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and lighting plans and specifications for a variety of building types
• Work closely with the electrical department and with other engineering disciplines to coordinate deliverables for our clients
• Contribute to Coffman’s marketing and business initiatives as needed
• Work independently and also collaboratively with others
• Experience with site investigations to verify existing conditions
• Experience with reviewing contractor submittals and performing construction observations
• Supervise and manage projects of varying sizes
• Supervising, estimating, and negotiating contracts
