About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own PCB designs from concept through production, including schematic capture, layout, and design reviews. You will define electrical architectures, including power distribution, grounding strategy, signal integrity, and EMC considerations. This role involves supporting manufacturing and board bring-up, leading debugging and validation efforts for electrical subsystems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure electrical systems integrate cleanly with the broader vehicle architecture. The goal is to deliver robust, manufacturable avionics and electrical subsystems that support reliable vehicle operation, translate system requirements into validated electrical architectures and PCB designs, and ensure electrical systems meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards. You will maintain clear ownership of electrical subsystem development from concept through integration, identify and mitigate risks related to power systems, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and hardware reliability, and enable reliable engine control, telemetry, power distribution, and safety systems across the vehicle. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical design standards, component libraries, and engineering processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience designing PCBs and embedded electrical systems
  • Proficiency in PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Cadence, or similar)
  • Experience with mixed-signal design, power electronics, or embedded systems
  • Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, high-current design, and signal integrity
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, board bring-up, and hardware debugging
  • Hands-on lab skills (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supplies, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new tools, systems, and domains as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-growth, startup, or technically complex environments
  • Proven track record of designing flight electronics
