About The Position

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support utility-scale power generation and renewable energy design projects. The role includes contributing to power generation and distribution design, protection and motor control, power system studies, equipment specifications, and balance-of-plant systems such as raceways, lighting, and grounding. The engineer may lead multiple design, engineering, project, or administration tasks concurrently and must have experience performing design and engineer-of-record work for power plant systems. The role involves developing schematic designs and contract documents, reviewing project documents, preparing specifications, coordinating with other disciplines, participating in project meetings and site reviews, and providing construction contract administration as needed. The engineer also coordinates project-document updates related to addenda, RFIs, change orders, and job safety analyses, and conducts QA/QC reviews of other team members’ work. Mentoring junior engineers, supporting client relationships and marketing activities, and growing toward a team lead or section manager role are desired. HDR emphasizes an inclusive, collaborative, employee-owned culture.
