About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an Experienced or Senior Electrical and Test Engineer to serve as an Automated Test Equipment Engineer to join our Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Electrical Engineering Capability Team in Huntsville, AL. We design, sustain, and upgrade next generation electronics concepts and support production and special test equipment design for increasing capacity requirements. This position requires the ability to get a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required. This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience setting up equipment and performing tests on various products and assemblies using manual or automated test devices
Hands-on lab experience with power, analog, digital, or RF electronics testing or test methodology
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering
Experience designing automated test equipment
Experience developing and executing test equipment verification and validation plans
Experience performing circuit analysis in SPICE or similar tools like LTSpice etc
Experience with programming languages C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB
Experience with National Instrument’s Lab-View and Test-Stand software
Experience with Unigraphics, Creo or other drafting CAD tools
Experience utilizing lab electronic testing tools (Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Function Generators, ...)
Active Security Clearance

Responsibilities

Support design of automated test equipment, development of engineering documentation, and hardware fabrication, integration, and validation testing.
Develop, document, and maintain electronic and electrical system requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements.
Create and implement overall Test Equipment Design strategies.
Review and apply real-time test anomaly troubleshooting and resolution of issues encountered during hardware validation and verification testing.
Support fielded test equipment hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Research emerging technologies for potential applications to meet projected requirements.
Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, troubleshooting, and resolutions.
