About The Position

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to join an engineering team supporting MEP electrical design projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This full-time position involves leading electrical engineering design efforts from initial concept development through construction support for commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate brings experience in electrical system design, project leadership, and client coordination within MEP engineering environments. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex technical work while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in Fort Lauderdale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Mid to senior-level experience in MEP electrical design and project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering or construction teams.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee electrical systems for commercial and institutional MEP projects.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and revise electrical drawings, load calculations, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering work with architects, mechanical/plumbing teams, and outside consultants.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Provide construction administration support including RFIs, submittal review, and field coordination.
  • Participate in client meetings and present technical design solutions when needed.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC standards and applicable electrical codes.
  • Support project documentation, quality control, and technical accuracy throughout project phases.
