About The Position

We are hiring a licensed Electrical Engineer / Project Manager with 7+ years of consulting engineering experience to lead building systems design projects throughout Youngstown, OH and surrounding Northeast Ohio markets. This full-time role combines advanced electrical design responsibilities with client management and internal project leadership. The ideal candidate holds an active Professional Engineer (PE) license and brings strong expertise in MEP consulting, including hands-on drafting in AutoCAD and Revit. While hybrid flexibility may be available, this position is primarily in-office to support collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical design within a consulting or architectural engineering firm
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with HVAC-related electrical coordination, building power systems, and lighting design
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and communicate directly with architects, owners, and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power distribution and lighting systems for commercial and institutional facilities in the Youngstown region
  • Produce construction documents directly in AutoCAD and Revit (engineers are responsible for their own drafting)
  • Manage projects from schematic design through construction administration
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, plumbing engineers, and other design professionals
  • Perform electrical load calculations, lighting layouts, and system coordination
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure code compliance and technical accuracy
  • Participate in client meetings, project interviews, and presentations
  • Oversee multiple active assignments while maintaining schedule discipline and quality standards
