About The Position

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level Electrical Engineer / Project Manager with 7+ years of experience in building systems design within a consulting engineering environment. This role focuses on designing electrical power and lighting systems for a range of commercial and institutional projects while managing client relationships and internal project coordination. The ideal candidate has a Professional Engineer (PE) license, strong technical expertise in MEP/architectural engineering, and hands-on experience using AutoCAD and Revit. This is a full-time opportunity with a preference for candidates who can work primarily in-office, with some hybrid flexibility available.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a consulting or architectural engineering firm
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required)
  • Experience designing HVAC-related electrical coordination, power distribution, and lighting systems for buildings
  • Ability to manage projects and communicate directly with architects and owners
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and industry standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consulting engineering rather than utility companies or equipment manufacturers
  • Stable employment history (not primarily contract-based roles)
  • Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary design teams

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power and lighting systems for commercial and institutional buildings
  • Develop construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit (engineers complete their own drafting)
  • Manage projects from concept through construction administration
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, plumbing engineers, and other design professionals
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and code compliance
  • Perform load calculations, lighting design, and electrical system layout
  • Attend client meetings and participate in project interviews
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule and quality standards
