About The Position

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Level Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager to support MEP mechanical design and project management efforts in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This full-time position involves leading mechanical engineering design work from concept development through construction phases for commercial and institutional projects. The Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager will combine technical engineering expertise with project leadership responsibilities, coordinating design deliverables, client communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration across project teams in Fort Lauderdale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Mid to senior-level experience in MEP mechanical design and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical engineering principles, and building codes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering or construction teams.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage mechanical HVAC and MEP system engineering for commercial and institutional projects.
  • Prepare and review mechanical drawings, calculations, equipment selections, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate mechanical design work with electrical, architectural, and external consulting teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and engineering deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide construction administration support including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination.
  • Participate in client meetings and present technical mechanical design solutions when required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and quality control throughout design and construction phases.
