About The Position

Our client is growing their multi-discipline engineering practice and is seeking a licensed PE Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This is a hands-on engineering role with leadership responsibility, technical ownership, and the opportunity to mentor junior staff while working closely with clients. The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to be a Partner in the firm. This is a direct hire position for our client.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable state/local electrical codes
• Previous Project Management experience

Nice To Haves

• Forensic engineering or failure analysis experience
• Renewable energy systems (solar PV), generators, or UPS systems experience
• Client development or proposal writing experience

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit and fault current analysis, and coordination studies
• Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring layouts, and technical specifications
• Produce and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
• Support construction activities including site visits, submittal reviews, and commissioning
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, civil, and structural teams
• Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide QA/QC oversight
• Interface with clients, utilities, and vendors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery
