About The Position

P2S is seeking an Electrical Engineering student for its Summer 2027 internship program. Interns join the Electrical Engineering team and gain hands-on experience in office and field settings while contributing to client projects. The program provides real-world industry exposure through project-site visits, internal training, and company events. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, beginning in June and ending in August or September, depending on the candidate’s availability. The role is in office Monday through Friday and is available in Long Beach, Irvine, or San Diego, California, and Seattle, Washington.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited university, majoring in Electrical Engineering.
Able to work effectively in a highly energetic, multiple-engagement environment.
Demonstrates dedication to teamwork, strong work initiative, adaptability to new challenges and ideas, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
FE/EIT credential.
Training in CAD/BIM standards.

Responsibilities

Assist the engineering team with ongoing project execution.
Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
Create and modify engineering drawings as part of the design process.
Participate in prototyping to test and validate design concepts.
Assist with testing to assess the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions.
Work with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation.
Generate reports and summaries communicating project progress.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align work with project goals.
Participate in team meetings and provide insights and feedback.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
Pursue opportunities for continued learning and development in engineering.
