About The Position
Verdantas is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join its Michigan team in Grand Rapids and Petoskey. The internship provides hands-on experience in electrical design and analysis for real-world projects, working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment. The intern will gain exposure to industry standards, innovative solutions, and practical applications that support sustainable infrastructure.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering program at an accredited university or college.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic computer software.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Work visas and PERM applications are not supported in this role.
Nice To Haves
- Revit knowledge or experience.
- Previous AutoCAD experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, engineering studies, and project designs.
- Assist in developing probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
- Prepare designs and plans under close supervision using computer-aided design and engineering software packages or conventional methods.
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates under the direction of an experienced designer.
- Perform occasional drafting.
