Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
Must be willing to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients and contractors)
Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications

Nice To Haves

Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
Experience with power systems strongly preferred
Working towards Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, Assemble)
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry
Prior internship or co-op experience in Electrical Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
Focus on the design and engineering of power, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems (e.g., tel/data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray) and other electrical control and building support systems into the built work environment.
Conduct studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Perform power load, illumination, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
Prepare basis of design reports and code evaluations.
Create single line diagrams, plans, schedules, installation details, and specifications.
Coordinate with manufacturers and construction trade partners.
Utilize computer-aided drafting and engineering software.
Develop project documents (calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
Assist with the development of conceptual designs and coordinate with the design team under the direction of the project team lead.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (vendors, clients, and contractors).
