Spinor Energy's mission is to accelerate the global transition to renewable energy with breakthrough technology. We’re building Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES), a battery that stores electricity in the magnetic field of a superconducting coil. This technology never degrades, discharges megawatts in milliseconds, and is the most efficient form of energy storage ever conceived. Our engineering spans four disciplines: fusion-grade superconducting tape, megawatt-scale high-voltage power electronics, cryogenics, and vacuum systems. At Spinor, you'll get your hands on all of them. Our founders came from SpaceX, bringing a first-principles engineering, rapid iteration, and design-for-scale mindset to energy storage. You will own consequential hardware architecture and first schematic through bring-up, validation, and field deployment. We are hiring an Instrumentation, Data Acquisition and Controls Engineer to build the sensing and nervous system of operating superconducting magnets.
