About The Position

Stantec is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to join its Buildings team. The role leads the design and implementation of instrumentation, process controls, and facility automation systems for high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, water/wastewater, and mission-critical facilities. The engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically robust, innovative, and compliant solutions for complex industrial environments. The position includes I&C and Facility Automation Systems (BAS/BMS/FMS) design, system architecture and integration, industrial communications network design, quality reviews, application of ISA standards, client coordination, and mentoring. It may also support proposals, estimating, workload forecasting, recruiting, standards development, and process improvements. The employee must meet client site badging requirements, including passing background checks where required. Work is typically in an office environment, using computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Field work may involve exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Duties may be assigned or changed at any time.
