Responsibilities include technical proposals, requirements management, detailed architecture of topology and control, detailed circuit design and analyses (including familiarity with part selection and design concepts associated with radiation hardened / tolerant circuitry), product performance, customer presentations, schedule, and cost requirements. The individual will have expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program and may lead a team of engineers on assigned projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with microelectronic dc-dc power conversion and control system design, including knowledge of radiation effects on components and circuits.
  • Experience with high reliability hardware design from conceptual design through product delivery.
  • Experience with analog modeling tools (I.e., Symetrix, Simplis, Ansys Maxwell, Mathcad or equivalent software)
  • Knowledge of complex dc-dc power topologies and control circuitries
  • Discrete analog circuit design
  • Detailed knowledge of power electronics technology, including temperature compensating analog circuits, radiation tolerant components and circuitry, reference compensators, magnetic design, and planar magnetics
  • Excellent documentation, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to write procedures, reports, and acceptance tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects through complete development cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment and mentor others.
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
