About The Position

This position is a short-term electrical engineering role focused on the analysis and redesign of a customer ethernet switching PCBA. The contractor will work on identifying a more cost-effective and reliable alternative board-mounted ethernet switch and then redesigning the PCBA to meet existing size and connector constraints. The estimated tenure for this position is approximately five months, averaging 20 hours per week.

Requirements

• Ethernet stack and switching
• PCBA schematic analysis and revision
• PCBA card layout and implementation, especially incorporating high-speed lanes
• PCBA bring up and test
• Firmware design and implementation using C/C++

Responsibilities

• Working with the purchasing team for quoting and procuring first prototypes
• Bringing up prototypes
• Working with firmware engineers to revise the board firmware as necessary
• Supporting testing and EC release
