About The Position

As an Electrical Engineer III, you will lead the design, development, and validation of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will be responsible for understanding complex circuits, overseeing testing, and ensuring the successful integration of electrical/electronic systems. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Exposure to electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
Precision in designing, testing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and components.
Ability to analyze complex electrical/electronic systems and evaluate performance data to identify problems and improve designs.
Applying systematic and logical problem-solving techniques to diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic issues.
Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Extensive experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
Strong understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices.
Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
Experience composing an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
Familiarity with Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).
Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
In some applications, lead development of circuit card assemblies.
Lead implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
Oversee the testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including designs, test plans, and results.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
Participate in and lead design reviews, providing expert technical insights.
Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.
