About The Position

Essential Functions: Responsible for reporting for all plant emergencies To instigate studies and engineer solutions to overcome quality and safety problems, to reduce waste and improve overall performance Assist in the development of new products or processes or systems Assists in the design, installation and commissioning of new plant equipment and other systems to ensure that this introduction to the production facility is handled efficiently and within the minimum disruption. Investigate and analyze machinery downtime and engineer solutions or corrective actions to eliminate future re-occurrence. Coordinate maintenance of plant electrical power systems and distribution. Energy savings project tracking, reporting and implementation Work together with team members, driving continuous improvement processes. Drives quality continuous improvements coordinating corrective actions as necessary Train team members in standard operating procedures (SOP) and ensure regular audits for the maintenance of such procedures Identify and update spare part inventory to eliminate downtime due to lack of spares Oversee outside contractors Other job duties as assigned. Requirements

  • 4-year degree in electrical engineering
  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Computer aided design, preferable AutoCad
  • Demonstrated ability in solving technical problems related to manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Posses strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines
  • Strong computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS degree
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Previous glass experience
  • Engineering/Manufacturing experience
