Zone 5 Technologies•Fort Walton Beach, FL
•$116,000 - $200,000

About The Position

Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer III/IV to design, develop, test, and support electrical systems for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The position includes overseeing small projects and wire-harness production work, and calls for experience producing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting wire harnesses and circuits in UAS platforms. The engineer will use Altium to document wire-harness designs and serve as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line. During the first three months, the engineer will learn the company's development processes and systems, work on existing UAS electrical projects, and participate in cross-functional integration efforts. By six months, the role is expected to take on more responsibility, including leading small electrical systems projects and closing out avionics non-conformance reports (NCRs) from the production line. By twelve months, the engineer is expected to take full responsibility as liaison between the avionics design engineering team and the production line. The listed pay range is $116,000–$200,000 USD, with level- and location-specific ranges: SLO—Level III $131,000–$161,000 and Level IV $160,000–$200,000; FWB/DFW—Level III $116,000–$150,000 and Level IV $145,000–$190,000. The company describes its work as developing autonomous UAS solutions for defense and aerospace.
