About The Position

The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for performing electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects, under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required as well as knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and 4-7 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Technology and 6-8 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
  • Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance/mentorship to Level 1 Engineers and Designers.
  • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications.
  • Assembles permit level drawings along with manufacturing level assembly drawings based on project needs and type.
  • Prepares and studies technical drawings, review electrical gear submittals and customer specifications to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
  • Plans layout of electrical E-houses and skidded solutions.
  • Utilizes knowledge of National Electric Code to implement designs.
  • Works hand in hand with manufacturing team on complex solutions for skidded or E-house projects.
  • Conducts field surveys and studies diagram and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
  • Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams and data center clients to discuss existing or potential projects.
  • Provides guidance to ensure that project activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspects completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications.
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
