Design and implement reliable electrical power, automation, and process control systems that improve plant performance, safety, and operational efficiency in support of capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within industrial manufacturing, process controls, or automation environments.
  • Experience managing engineering or capital improvement projects.
  • Experience with electrical system design, industrial controls, and PLC/HMI programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation hardware and software platforms.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
  • Experience with AVEVA/Wonderware software applications.
  • Computer-aided drafting (CAD) skills.
  • Knowledge of power distribution system analysis, including energy flow, arc flash, and capacity studies.
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement process control strategies and instrumentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical and process control projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
  • Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Design, program, and optimize industrial control and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to improve process performance and control strategies.
  • Evaluate, specify, and implement instrumentation and control technologies.
  • Support power distribution projects, including system studies and capacity assessments.
  • Coordinate installation activities with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain and update electrical drawings, standards, and technical documentation.
