•$110,000 - $150,000•Onsite

About The Position

At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life. WHOOP believes in the power of humans to transform how they feel, perform and age; we serve the aspiring! WHOOP is hiring an Electrical Engineer II to help accelerate the development of the next generation of WHOOP wearable technology and supporting hardware. As a member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will play a highly hands-on role in the design, test, characterization, and tuning of electrical circuitry, using rapid experimentation to build a deep understanding of system performance and drive better engineering decisions. You will work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Software teams to design and evaluate new hardware, investigate unexpected behavior, resolve complex technical challenges, and move products quickly from prototype to robust, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience developing, testing, or debugging electronic hardware
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital circuit design, power management, signal integrity, and common communication interfaces
  • Hands-on experience designing, prototyping, testing, characterizing, and debugging electrical circuits and systems
  • Experience reading and developing schematics and working with ECAD tools such as Altium or equivalent
  • Strong laboratory skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, soldering equipment, and other electronic test and measurement tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and experimentation to quickly develop an understanding of complex technical problems and drive them toward resolution
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, characterize, debug, and tune low-power, mixed-signal electronic circuits and systems throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Contribute to schematic design, component selection, PCB development, hardware prototyping, board bring-up, and design iteration
  • Develop and execute electrical experiments and characterization plans to understand system behavior, evaluate performance, identify root causes, and guide design improvements
  • Analyze test data and collaborate across Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, and other engineering teams to optimize circuit performance, power consumption, signal integrity, reliability, and overall system performance
  • Support design verification, validation, and new product introduction (NPI), partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to resolve technical issues and enable successful high-volume production
  • Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally to collaborate with partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturers

Benefits

  • meaningful equity
  • competitive base salaries
  • generous equity package
